The architects have designed BONBA studio apartment of 170 square meters of office space on the site of a historic building of the Eixample in Barcelona, Spain.
The spacious master bedroom and a bright open plan living room are located at opposite ends of the house. They are connected by a corridor, lined with wood paneling mint-green, from which also has access to the guest bedroom, bathrooms and laundry.
When the room was used as an office, original design features of the building were covered, including the brick arches, known in the local architecture as the Catalan Arch. The designers decided to expose these details. They removed the old false ceiling, creating a space of four-meter height and widened doorways, allowing light to freely penetrate into the house.
The living room includes an open-plan kitchen and dining area, though the two places are located behind the light green panel that form a corridor. Terracotta tiles contrasting with oak floorboards, creating a clear distinction between the two zones.
Located at the opposite end of the apartment is bright and spacious master bedroom also has clean white walls and oak floor, and among other things includes a dressing room and bathroom.
