The studio designed the concrete public space Skypark club house, located in the center of Mong Kok, Hong Kong. On the bustling streets of the bustling district of architects have created a welcoming space for all occupants Skypark tower.
Inspired by the narrow crowded streets of Mong Kok, where space is limited and pedestrians literally bump into each other, the authors sought to create a place where you can escape the chaos and where people could really communicate and interact with each other.
Club floor consists of different functional areas. Kitchen, library and bar located next to the gym, swimming pool and an art gallery. Most external staircase connects this floor with a landscaped park, located in the upper part of the building and includes a barbecue and picnic area. Ladder, according to which the scrambling gardens and living rooms, is converted in the evening in open-air cinema or in a place where it is possible to contemplate the stars. Disposition of the public area on the roof creates four vertical volumes, which contains all the service functions, such as stairs, elevators, toilets, storage, kitchen equipment. These blocks are lined with travertine and rise above the landscaped roof. Putting them on the diagonal, the architects received the interim space for various purposes, which are stored transparent and open, with only a few glass walls and sliding doors. With this having amazing facilities, offering stunning views of the cosmopolitan metropolis.
