The house area of 420 square meters, designed in Bangkok, Thailand, studio BOONDESIGN in cooperation with T.R.O.P: terrains + open space, for a landscape designer of the family, so it is not surprising that among his wishes of architects was the presence of a series of courtyards.
The building is designed taking into account the basic principles of architecture, dealing with extreme climate of Thailand. Several white solid walls oriented west to east, protecting the internal space from the hot tropical sun. Glazed full-height openings rooms facing east and west.
a living area and a double-height dining room located on the first floor. At the second level, on the main guest bedroom and bath, two rooms are provided - the owner and his wife. On the third floor are two bedrooms located.
The garden is designed so that not only echo the language of architecture, but also to pay tribute to the local climate and nature. East Yard, located in front of parking, offers a warm and friendly area, where residents can enjoy the sunrise in the mornings and evenings watching the change of lunar phases. On the west side tree thickets provide life-giving shade, allowing people to make their daily activity in the space outside the house. On both sides of the building adjacent pool L-shaped. Along the southern facade it is a shallow zone, designed specifically for small son owners.
Overall courtyards create many links between the home and garden. The white walls are like a big canvas on which the sunlight streaming through the branches of the trees, throughout the day draws variable patterns.
