The modern chalet, designed RobitailleCurtis, located on a steep slope of the former ski slope of Mont-Jasper, near the village of Saint-Donat in the Canadian province of Quebec. With a height of 742 meters above sea level site is considered one of the tallest habitable places in the Laurentian Mountains and the Lanaudière region. Surrounded by a thick forest of spruce and maple trees, the building has a panoramic view of a length of 160 kilometers of scenic Lake Archambault.
House area of 255 square meters has been designed for a family with two school-age children as a place of rest at the weekend. Due to the steep slope of the building placed on the piles of western red cedar, which allows the snow melted and spring waters freely seek down. Every spring, a housing greens thick cover of the forest of ferns and mosses.
The house can be reached by the input bridge. Kitchen, dining room and living room connected by a single space. Along the area of kitchen and dining area is located more than 8 meters long with a window sill of American cherry wood. The kitchen has a large central island from the surface of the same material.
