And yet to start a little story about the very IKEA. And all began to turn in the province of Småland in southern Sweden. It is here that the family farmers birthplace of IKEA founder Ingvar Kamprad. In 17 years, received as a gift from his father - the money, he decided to establish his own business. At first he was just trying to sell pens, clocks, photo frames and other small items. A little later, in 1943, he founded the IKEA, and in 1948 it first appeared assortment of furniture that is purchased from a different Swedish manufacturers. By the way, "IKEA" stands for "Ingvar Kamprad Elmtaryd Agunnaryd", that is, first and last name and the name of the founder Elmtaryud farm in the parish of Agunnaryd, where he was born. The first major IKEA store in Sweden was opened in 1958 and already in 1963 the company entered the international market, starting with Norway. Since 1965, the company began producing furniture itself. The first attempts to IKEA to enter the Russian market date from the late 1980s. Then Ingvar Kamprad personally negotiated and planned to create in the USSR the whole complex to manufacture furniture. But the parties have not agreed. In Russia, the company begins to grow in 2000, opened his first shop in the Moscow suburb of Khimki. A year later, there was another shop, the opening of which came to almost 50 thousand people. But its first online store in our country have earned in Omsk in 2013. To date, IKEA in Russia there are 14 stores, distribution centers and division exercising procurement, which employ more than 10 000 employees. As well as four of its own production: Esipovo in Solnechnogorsk district of Moscow region, Tikhvin, Leningrad region, Kirov region and under the Great Novgorod, where we are.
As you know, the basic building blocks of IKEA furniture are made of chipboard, actually, so we started with this production. Plant for production of polished and laminated chipboard, as furniture factory "IKEA Industry Novgorod", located in the village Podberezye Novgorod region.
This is a very cool theme - dryer and power plant in one "bottle". As raw material it uses wood residues (chips, bark or wood dust), with 87 gives 5 MW thermal power.
The construction here woodworking plant Polish subsidiary company of the German company Pfleiderer AG (Pfleiderer) began in 2004. Since the ceremony of laying the first foundation stone of the production to the opening ceremony took place exactly 20 months. In such a short time, an area of about 40 hectares was erected at that time the most modern plant in the country for the production of particleboard and lamination. Although, frankly, like the years go by, and this plant is only prettier.
The plant processed forest hardwoods, mainly aspen, which stocks in the Novgorod region is quite large. Actually, chipboard do not of the best quality wood, and of that which is no longer suitable to create furniture out of it from the array. By the way, today the company is the largest consumer of timber in the Novgorod region. And most of the wood raw material suppliers have a valid FSC certified (Forest Stewardship Council, FSC).
Operator, hence control all the main production processes.
The shop lamination:
With regard to technology, the harvested wood product initially enters into a special dryer, where a temperature of 450 degrees from it remove all moisture. The dried material passes through a shaker. Then, the adhesive resin is formed. Because of their friendship, and the finished boards are obtained durable and water-resistant.
In the next step the resulting material is compressed to a thickness of about 5 cm, and then at a temperature of 200 degrees solidified material. As a result, it turns necessary chipboard. And then nastaot Beauty time for this product is sent to the workshop lamination.
In 2013, IKEA buys OOO "Pfleiderer" this plant, thus giving it not only a hope for happiness, but also a powerful incentive for further growth. Immediately after the purchase, the company has been upgraded, everything was done in the mind, and for the sake of the ecology of our, so, for example, has been installed electrostatic filter WESP, which allows to reduce the amount emitted into the atmosphere of dust and enhance the air cleaning efficiency of the particles formed during the drying of wood chips.
The plant produced particleboard and chipboard thickness from 10 to 38 mm chipboard size 2500 x 1830 mm.
As for the color Gama, it has about 100 shades. As the saying goes, every whim, from proven classics (beech, alder or cherry) to the new trends.
Today, the production capacity of the plant at full load is 500 thousand. Cubic meters of particleboard and 25 million sq. M. meters of chipboard a year.
It is important to note that the plate produced by the even more stringent produced by internal standards than our guests. And otherwise, because in the special laboratory checked all the input raw materials (resin emulsion, the chemicals, shavings, sawdust, wood chips), and each product batch output.
That's made Ikea furniture.
