KGB Museum Tour

I walked in May in Prague and saw there's a placard:

KGB Museum Tour

About the Museum of Communism in Prague I heard, I read reviews and not particularly eager to go, though, and I love all sorts of "cranberry". Review was enough, and souvenirs with Lenin does not need :) But about KGB Museum, I heard and learned only from this poster, so I decided to visit. On TripAdvisor'e rating very good (16 overall and first among museums, five hundred reviews).

As a result, the museum was not quite a museum, but rather a small private collection of unstructured, takes a couple of rooms, and relevant to the safety authorities and the Soviet Union in general. In itself it is of interest only if you know that before you - because there are a few signatures. Because it is attached to the guide (also known as the owner of the museum), which delivers about two-thirds of impressions from the visit.

I'm not a fan of writing reports about the museums (because I believe that there still need to walk on their own), because pictures and descriptions are given in bulk, without any logic.

Entrance to the museum. Find it easy - it is a couple of houses after the US Embassy, slightly short of the German Embassy.

The workplace of the museum owner - when he does not lead the tour. Tickets cost 250 CZK (about 375 rubles). In general, a little expensive, but once you can and let.

Emblem of the Republic of the USSR. I'm dating is difficult, but judging by the coat of arms of the RSFSR - no stars, says R. SF SR - banner should be over 1954. Although the coat of arms of the Lithuanian SSR has no ribbons fifteen - it's 1956. But the motto on Belarus has emblem "Proletaryі ўsіh kraіn, ednaytsesya!" - so until 1958. So perhaps, 1956-58, if not fake.

KGB Museum Tour

That's all.

On account of whether or not "Museum" visits ... By and large, in the shortcomings I'd only raised the price disproportionate to its size. Well, if you have aversion to positive reviews about the history of the USSR KGB general and in particular, it is also worth visiting the refrain. The rest is - quite possible.

It is possible that the owner of half stories - only stories and artifacts are not "taken out of the Soviet Union in great difficulty", and purchased from the Chinese in the nearest alley, but this is offset by the enthusiasm of the guide. But for maximum enjoyment, first, we must come when no other tourists, secondly - a small company (one to three people) - a room close, well and thirdly - it is desirable to know the Russian, for the English tour more loses.
